Stop being a baby! Just do it!
Gingerly, she dipped one toe in. The shiver it sent up her spine almost made her step back. But she took a deep breath and plunged into the shimmering waters of the cold pool, as it danced in the morning rays of the smiling sun.
As she came up for air, the lone swimmer noticed an unexpected visitor at the water's edge. One rare in the city.
Unblinkingly, the plump sparrow watched her as she completed two laps. With a chirp, it took off, leaving behind a sense of warmth in its wake.
